Last week, Deputy Head of ORI, Professor Tom Wainwright, was invited to talk about his work to the Therapies Workforce team across University Hospitals Dorset NHS Trust. The session, titled ‘Whole Therapies in Service Training’, invited professionals from different specialties to get together to learn how to improve patient care.

Tom presented two talks discussing his research on ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) and CHAIN (Cycling against Hip pAIN) to around 150 attendees across Christchurch, Bournemouth, Poole and online. Attendees had very positive feedback of the event, with one participant saying they liked “the variety of speakers and hearing what exciting things are going on in the therapy world.”
